A Juhász Gyula Pedagógusképző Kar a Nemzetiségi Intézet (Német és Német Nemzetiségi Tanszék) koordinációjával ismét elnyert egy Erasmus+ KA (Strategic Partnerships for adult education, Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices) pályázatot. A WISELIFE, Raising Awareness about Ageism projekt célja az időskor tudatosságának növelése, elsősorban a tanulás kapcsán.

A projekt időtartama: 2020. december -2022. szeptember.

A projektben 6 ország egyeteme, illetve idősekkel foglalkozó intézmények vesznek részt, melyek az alábbiak:

1. Izmir University of Economics (Izmir, Törökország), koordinátor

2. University of the Aegean (Mytilene, Görögország)

3. BAGSO, the German National Association of Senior Citizens' Organisations, Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Seniorenorganisationen e.V. BAGSO (Bonn, Németország)

4. University of Lodz (Lodz, Lengyelország)

5. Istituto Per Servizi Di Ricovero E Assistenza Agli Anziani-ISRAA (Treviso, Olaszország)

6. University of Szeged (Szeged, Magyarország).

A projekt rövid összefoglalója angol nyelven:

Defined as” the stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination against people on the basis of their age” by World Health Organisation (2002), ageism is widespread and an insidious practice which has harmful effects on community.

This is where the continuous education centers (CECs) of the partner institutions come to stage.

WISELIFE Project aims at equipping the parties involved in the creation and the implementation of ageism, plus the victims of ageism;

1. with creating environments where the young and the elderly can come together and understand each other,

2. by designing a Strategic Model Proposal for CECs of the participant countries,

3. by shooting a documentary to record the whole process,

4. by creating a digital memory to use electronic media to collect, preserve and present the stories and digital record of elderly,

5. by designing a training package for elderly to promote active aging, and

6. by publishing a book.

The project consortium consists of countries that have various concerns about the general topic ageism. It is a known fact that each participant country regarding their cultural heritage, economic situation and educational background, experience ageism in different degrees and levels, which makes this project more relevant. Our project will not only explore different attitudes and solutions, but also aim to apply existing solutions from one country to the problems in another. It is therefore important that this project is carried out across national borders by focusing on the issues of ageism with three different groups of participants. Based on this, X institutions from X different countries (Turkey, Greece, Poland so far) formed the consortium of the project WISELIFE.

The project will carry out the following project activities between 2020-2022:

Output1: Ageism: Descriptive and Comparative Analysis (Publication of a book)

Output 2: The Training Package for Elderly To Promote Active Aging
