At the beginning, the basic assumptions of Maria Montessori's pedagogy will be signaled, while in turn, the history of Montessori pedagogy in Poland will be sketched. The main directions of activities of the Polish Montessori Association and the Montessori Center in Lublin will be presented. At the end, the lecturer will refer to the results of his own research regarding affective meanings of Montessori school in the reflection of former students.
